What is Machine Party?

Machine Party is a collection of violent party games by Mike Klubnika — the creator of Buckshot Roulette — co-developed with GDeavid and published by Oro Interactive. Kotaku's launch headline nailed it: a "Mario Party-style massacre." Failure is lethal, and the game's own store description warns you up front:"Survival is unlikely."

It launched July 30, 2026 to 89% Very Positive Steam reviews and sold overhalf a million copies in its first weeks. You play a customizable test subject thrown into a series of deadly challenges with up to 3 friends — all set to an industrial soundtrack by Alex Peipman.

How a session works

There's no board, no dice, no mercy. A session is:

Pick your test subject — customization is cosmetic, but committing to the bit is not.
Minigames rotate — 15 challenges across the session, from memory tests to forklift races to literal minefields.
Losers die — most minigames eliminate the worst performer (or the last one caught).
Last one alive wins — and several minigames are explicitly designed for sabotage, so "friendship" is a temporary status.

Survival fundamentals

Learn the minigames first. Most deaths come from not knowing the rule — reading each minigame once is worth more than ten sessions of improvising.
Audio cues matter. Several challenges (the Table Manners murderer, the Tunnel Hazard lights, the Spine Breaker spider) are won with ears as much as eyes.
Expect betrayal. Debris Platforms, Spine Breaker, and Forklift Certified all let you sabotage other players. That's the design, not an accident.
Standing still is often correct. Minefield's detector and Table Manners both reward freezing — panic movement is what kills.
Play the meta in elimination games. In Stable Footing and Lethal Rebound, outlasting beats outplaying — let others make mistakes.

Multiplayer & mods

The game supports 2–4 players online, with local split-screen and Steam Remote Play Together, plus full controller support. The community mod scene extends it significantly — server browsers, voice chat, and even 8-player lobbies. Full details on theMods Guide.
