What the mod does

Raises the lobby cap from 4 to 8 players.
All 15 minigames are fully playable at 8 players — the modder made layout compromises to keep them functional without reworking the maps.

Requirements

Everyone needs the mod to unlock the 8-player cap.
Python is required for the installer (any recent Python 3 works).
The mod is vanilla-compatible: mixed lobbies still work, just with the vanilla 4-player cap.

Windows install

Download the latest release from GitHub: machine-party-8p-mod.zip

Run the .bat file — or double-click install.py if you have Python installed (both work).
Launch the game. The lobby should now accept up to 8 players when everyone is modded.

Linux install

Run: python3 install.py
Launch the game.

How lobbies work after install

8-player lobbies: everyone in the lobby must have the mod installed.
2–4 player lobbies: everything falls back to vanilla behavior.
Fully-modded lobbies skip the mid-game cutscene (the modder may make this a toggle if feedback asks for it).
